I’ve been exploring ChatGPT’s new project‑only memory and it’s exactly what I needed. Instead of blending everything together across my different tasks, ChatGPT now stays laser‑focused on the conversations inside a single project.

When I spin up a new project and switch on the project‑only option, the model remembers just the chats and files from that project. It doesn’t pull in my general saved memories or wander into other project conversations. That means I can work on a research plan or long‑form writing project without worrying that a random hobby chat will influence the output.
It’s also nice to know that nothing from a project leaks back into my everyday chats. That makes it perfect for sensitive work or anything that needs its own context. I’m already using this feature and loving the way it helps me keep everything organized and on‑topic.

Oh, and they have also added icons to project’s branding, which IMHO is highly visually useful.
