When I first released the LinkedIn Notification Badge extension, the goal was simple: display your unread LinkedIn notifications directly in the Chrome toolbar — no refreshes, no distractions.
With version 1.1.0, the extension now includes a new, much-requested feature: LinkedIn Fancy Formatter, accessible directly from the context menu on LinkedIn pages.

💡 What’s New in v1.1.0?
If you’ve ever wanted to style your LinkedIn posts beyond the standard bold and italic, you’re going to enjoy this.
The LinkedIn Fancy Formatter lets you apply advanced text styles (like script, monospace, gothic, upside-down, and even Zalgo!) to your content before pasting it into LinkedIn posts.
✅ Right-click on any LinkedIn page
✅ Choose “LinkedIn Fancy Text”
✅ A clean formatting utility opens in a new tab
✅ Format your text, copy it, and paste it into your post
🧠 Note: The formatter is not injected into the LinkedIn page (yet) — it opens as a standalone utility page via the context menu.
🤖 Powered by AI (as always)
This extension has been built to test ChatGPT-4o with Canvas…seems ages ago!
I used ChatGPT-5 to quickly prototype the formatting engine and later refined it with Claude 4. Once polished, I injected the module into Cursor, hooked it into the extension, and voilà — it just worked.
Most of the real complexity came from LinkedIn’s post formatting constraints, but the AI tools helped smooth out those bumps.
🔮 What’s Next?
The ultimate goal is to inject a full WYSIWYG editor directly inside LinkedIn’s post composer, so users can format text inline without switching tabs or tools.
Not implemented yet — but it’s next on the roadmap.
📦 You can install the latest version directly from the Chrome Web Store
